Rankin Behavioral Health is offering a new 8-week virtual skills & support group for high schoolers.

The group includes the teaching and practice of selected DBT Skills (Mindfulness, Crisis Survival, and Emotion Regulation) as applied to the Covid-19 crisis. Additionally, time will be dedicated to expressing feelings and supporting each other during the current situation.

Note that this short group is not Comprehensive/Standard DBT.

Group leaders have intensive training in DBT.

Each session length is one hour and 30 minutes.

The group will meet every Monday from 4:45pm-6:15pm, starting on April 13th, 2020.

Teens can enter during the first five meetings and then commit to the remainder of the meetings.

A 30 minute intake will be required before entering the group.

Students in grades 9-12 residing in the District of Columbia or Virginia can participate.
